Cube arrived sooooooo excited ,

Recommended Posts

Open it straight away, get all the bits spread out so that he can start putting it together the minute he gets home - well its priority isn't it.:lol::lol: Had my cube since last Thursday and loving it. Hubby has extended the run we initially bought so that they have the whole of one side of the garden and we bought 2 more chickens as well. You will have great fun with it all - enjoy!! :D:D:D What colour did you go for?

Well so far Ive opened a few boxs got the glug and grub out . But have restrained myself ..... it started to spit with rain here and hubby called me and I said (before he even said hello) "Its not raining! :shameonu: lol ..... I will go and get a divers suit for him if I have to !

So Have hubby and friends arriving at 5 today . I did go and buy some layers mash for the ex bats on saturday sort of got talked into the smalholders range for exbats ? which is £5 more than the usual mash.

Thinking I will put my 3 in the cube for now and use the wir for the exbats untill intros are done . Think the wir will be abit easily as far as its already got a wooden ramp and I wont have to crawl into it to put then to bed .

ps its a green cube with extentions .

Well its up , took hubby and a friend 2 hours so not bad . Will introduce my ladies to it tomorrow as it was too late tonight . I do have a question for anyone that has a cube that is the door fastener(pole) is very short and I dont think closers the door properly is everyones like that ? Other than this I am very happy so far with it .

My cube door pole is a bit dodgy, as long as I pull it straight and and push straight back it works. If I turn it the door locks and is impossible to open with dismantling the whole mechanism. Girls had great fun watching me struggle with it the other day whilst trying to show a friend how wonderful a cube is and why she must must get one. You certainly won't regret getting one. We thought about starting off with a classic or a go and DH said just to get the whole hog and get a cube first, so glad we did. A dream to clean can't even call it a chore.

Enjoy xx

Yes there was 2 poles  found the second pole this morning in one of the boxs . My 3 ladies were introduced to there new home this morning and seemed to enjoy it Had a good old scratching and then a bath in the new bedding ( Omelettes bedding) . But Tonight would not go up to the cube to sleep  , So had to climb in the run which being slighty ouer weight was quite funny and then I had to pick them up and put them in ! Hope they dont get used to being carried to bed every night  Only had one problem so far and that is the superglug leaks so have called omelette and they are sending another . See what tomorrow brings , has anyone else had the problem of there girls not going to bed ?

Me exbatts took themselves to bed the first night, I was very surprised. They are in an eglu and not a cube though. I thought I would have to help them for the first couple of nights so took the extension off of the eglu run.

I have a large upturned flower pot at the base of my cube ladder in the walk in run, something similar may help yours.

One of our girls liked to sleep in the nest box of our Classic. I just opened up the egg hatch and gave her a gentle shove onto the roosting bars. She hardly seemed to notice she was being manhandled! Only took a couple of nights and she sleeps on the bars now! :D
