Sam
That was a quick 823 years I just googled it and it said this will happen again in 2022, 2028, and 2033! Apparently the rumor started in an email, I don't get why someone would make that up?!

Guest
months with 5 Sundays in them come up almost every 3 months - 4 times a year. My brain can't work out how many times Friday Saturday and Sunday come up 5 times, but it would have to be when it's Friday 1st of the month surely? and it would have to be a month with 31 days in it. (28 +3 = 31)
Charlottechicken
I'm sitting here next to a bookcase so have my old Almanack to hand. There are 14 different calendars, two each for the year starting on each day of the week. One for a normal February and one for a leap year. They run in a sequence of 28 years. Therefore the whole sequence repeats every 28 years. The only date that cannot be repeated on this sequence is Easter. Not sure the above is clear but hope it helps! CatieB
Sorry I dont get it...why is it noteworthy. As a month with 31 days (and there are others with 31 days) it will always have 5 of the first three days whether its mon tues wed, tues wed thurs or fri, sat sun. So this year August will have 5 lots of Mon tues wed...umm
percy049
"It is perfectly true that July 2011 has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. However, such a combination occurs far more often than every 823 years. The last occurrence was in July 2005 while the next occurrence will take place in July 2016." I just typed it into google, and lots of websites said it happens often.
