Unsecure chicken perches

Not sure if this is in the right section.

 

I am going to make a walk in run in a few weeks and want to put aubiose, hemcore or easibed on the ground. I have found somewhere that sells hemcore and easibed, but dont know how to pronounce auboise and want to inquire about cost etc, but dont want to sound silly if I pronounce it wrong. Thank you.

I think its meant to be Oh-be-ose but I say Or-be-ose

When I first got my girls I went into the local farm/pet shop and asked for "albas oil" as soon as I said it I new what I said was wrong. They didn't stock it so the next shop I asked for wood chip

I asked for it in my local horse supply shop; I called it 'or be os'. The woman gave me some exotic pronounciation & said that I wouldn't get hold of it for love nor money....

I always say it (in my head) in a French accent "Auw-bwass", as the company who makes it are French. Never bought the stuff as my local store only sells Hemcore.

I've just realised that my wood chip is Easibed; the little chicks are in a large dog crate in the living room & they have managed to kick the easibed out absolutely EVERYWHERE! Is there anything else that I can use that is a little heavy & not so flighty? My hoover's gone on strike, it can't cope with the stuff!

I have seen wood pellet cat litter recommended on the forum as an alternative. They do make a mess, don't they!
