Thieving beasts!

Recommended Posts

grrr, I need to rant!

I'm chair of the PTFA at my girls' school. we are having a boot fair next w/e, so I have printed and laminated a whole batch of signs. one of the Dads on the committee has very kindly made 10 or so wooden signboards, and gone out and put them in the relevant places along roadsides etc.

SOME THIEVING LITTLE BEAST has stolen them! They were put up on the Weds, and had disappeared by Thurs.

We are assuming not the highways agency because they were in places which are traditionally used for other school event signs, village fete etc with no problems before. and anyway they would have been onto the school like a shot to complain....

so it's either some adolescent mucking about; someone who thought "oh those signs will come in handy"; or a rival event removing our publicity.

GRRRRR I am very :twisted::twisted:

it could be the highways agency or the local council having a clamp down on fly posters it happens around here every now and again any advert posters with out planing permits get removed reguardless it they are on street furniture or the grass verge

but it's more than likley louts after fire wood

I dont think any official body, because they'd have been onto school like a shot...

am onto the local press trying to sell in the "heartbroken fundraisers at local school blah blah blah" to see if we can get a story in next week's edition and therefore additional publicity!

Hi

I THINK that in the UK there is no law against placing leaflets on parked vehicles as long as you don't:

- damage the vehicle

- cause an obstruction to the highway

- trespass on private property

BUT most reputable companies don't recommend it as most drivers don't like it.

Anyone know different ??
