Can you help me identify my chickens...?

Recommended Posts

Hello :-)

I bought three new bantams from a farm up the road this afternoon, however I don't know what breeds they are!

I think the last one may be a Partridge Wyandotte, and the first a cochin? She has feathery feet. But the middle one I'm not sure about - am thinking possibly a cross between a speckled sussex and something else?

Any help would be much appreciated! Sorry for lack of decent pictures, was trying not to stress them out too much!

No expert by any means, but your first one looks a very similar shape to my  Agnes & Esme; with the feathery feet you've mentioned, I'd guess at Pekin

no idea on the others though - inclined to agree with previous suggestions of a speckled Sussex (looks right colour-wise!) and pencilled 'dotte

They are absolutely gorgeous though; starting to feel morehens coming back again, which is probably a good thing really...

The first one looks Pekin like but probably not pure Pekin, it isnt quite correct

the second one looks like it has a beard so isnt a sussex, its possibly a Belgian D'Uccle if it has feathery legs

The third is as you suspect - a gold partridge Wyandotte bantam

(Wyandottes are the best! :shh: )

Having googled Belgian d'Uccle, I think you may be right - she does have an impressive set of sideburns to go with the beard too!
