bouldercroft
I'm sure everything is fine but I am curious why the Lovely Rita lays one of these little tiny eggs a week (that's when shes not a raging hormonal mess). I did just worm them all so maybe these malteser eggs will go away? Her usual eggs are 47g these little ones are 11-15g. Here are some photos of today's eggs (5eggs from 5girls is pretty good me thinks) and don't worry "Ooops, word censored!"ody laid the cherry - that's just there for scale photo by jewilk71, on Flickr photo by jewilk71, on Flickr Edited July 31, 2011 by Guest
chuckmum6
I guess she is young hen? It is common to get these little eggs when a hen is new to laying or sometimes if they have come back into lay. Once she has got into the swing of things she should lay normally.
Egluntyne
Perhaps she thinks she is a bantam.

Snowy
It can often be an age thing - although probably more common in hybrids as they run out of steam a bit after 2 years laying. I see Rita is a pure breed, but it may still be that it is coming to the end of the laying season. As they age, their winter break gets earlier each year and they start later next spring. I doubt it's anything to worry about though.
