Cate in NZ
They are funky though. I love them, fortunately for my credit card we rarely eat boiled eggs (I prefer mine poached or scrambled) and I've got 6 egg cups already. I don't need more, so not even tempted Did you succumb Lesley?
Kathy C
I've been looking for extra egg storage and found this little beauty on Amazon....
Lesley
I like that Kathy - but I'd always be knocking the eggs off No Kate - I haven't bought one (or more ) - I have about 30 egg-cups - and we only ever use 4 when Lauren and Jake stay over, usually it is just
Jaime
The eggs my chooks lay are really hard to peel when you hard boil them. Why? What am I doing wrong? I prefer poached anyway
Snowy
I think it's to do with freshness Jaime! The older an egg, the easier it is to peel (no idea why though!)
Christian
The membrane around the egg is really tight when the egg is fresh. It becomes looser when the egg is a week old or so. Therefore easier to peel!
feemcg
I used to get really frustrated when peeling boiled eggs too - when all the white comes away in chunks attached to the shell . Now I roll them between the palm of my hand and the work top until the shell is crushed all over and it comes away in one or two pieces -easy . Lesley
Yep! - use older eggs...... .....and then roll them on the worktop as Fee says.
