Hi Folks!

What a wonderful feeling.... I handed in my dissertation this afternoon...NO MORE STUDY!!!!.... well not until....:lol:

Four years (was intending it to be three)!

I don't know what to do with myself :lol:

Fur has promised me a WIR as a present 8) ..but he says I have to share it with the chickens :D

First thing on the agenda is getting out in that garden and reclaining ground where the weeds/blackberries have taken over. Didn't help that I had to have knee surgery last year.... oh, and also posting on the forum. I feel I've been missing what's been going on in the last year.

Well done Feathers, enjoy doing what you want to do for a while.

I am studying with the OU and my end of module assignment is in the middle of next month....no the middle of this month, I had better get on.

Enjoy your free time.

I don't envy you. We all work differently, but I tend to do a lot of "on the hoof" thinking, then get down to writing a few weeks before and just crash it. I find that way that I keep the thread when I'm writing. I admire people who can write something over a long time and not get lost or distracted.

What's your course in?

For those that are asking re. mine, without going into too much detail, the dissertation was related to mental health. Hopefully it will be helpful in the future.

It's a very strange feeling as I'm now on holiday for 2 weeks and I feel like something's missing  I seriously need to go and have some fun!! Still Faversham Hop Festival this weekend.... a chance to unwind. Trouble is I noticed the Folkestone Skabour Festival is on and I love a bit of Reggae too!....and the Bredgar & Wormshill Steam Railway has its last open Sunday too! Too much choice :lol:

Hi Feathers, I am trying to make up my Foundation Degree in Children's and Young People's Services, Early Years to a BA.

I did my Foundation Degree with the University of Derby who came down to Rutland to run the course, it was hard work as I would in the Recpetion class at a primary school but a good interesting course.

My school were unable to support me to do the BA as it meant a day out each week so I am trying to it with the OU but I think the course I have picked to do with research is one of their harder ones and I am finding the different expectations hard. The independent learning is ok as for Fda we were very much independent as the tutors only came to Rutland a few times per module.

Anyway got a day school today in Leicester so hopefully that will inspire me!

Chrissie
