Tiggy
I have a large garden with poly tunnel raised beds fruit trees compost bins the lot, real back yard allotment but my arthritis is preventing me doing all that I used to. A fellow omleteer has agreed to help me with it and share the produce We had a lovely evening last night making plans all very exciting

Olly
What a great idea - you get a tidy garden, and a share in the produce presumably, and fellow Omleteer gets some more space for growing things. That sounds like a win/win situation!

squiffs
Our council has an initiative going whereby elderly/disabled people with gardens let young(er) people in the community without their own gardens grow veg etc in return for helping with the garden maintenance. It also gives the less mobile people a chance to socialise a bit more and I think the fact the scheme has taken off is a huge testament to the fact that not all young people are yobs If I didn't have my own garden, I'd be very keen to have an arrangement such as this, Tiggy

One monday I saw the two of them outside my room yet again but the elderly chap before them was telling me how he loved his allotment but couldnt cope with it any more. So I got the two of them into my room and told them the problem. both agreed to help the old chap with his veggies for a pint or two 2 years later both of them got a job with the parkes department and the old chap goes for sunday lunch with them
