It has happened - Kindle is now in COLOUR!!!!!

 

It is a new format,more like a tablet,but still has our loved Kindle capabilities,& runs on Android too,which I also rate highly.

It is sadly not available in the UK as yet,but may be in the next few months,although there is already talk of an undated version coming out after Christmas.

 

As a big Kindle fan,as many of us here are,I am really excited about this & the 3 other new format Kindles Amazon have announced today

I just saw something about this on the internet. I love my Kindle.....wonder if I'll be tempted to upgrade....and how much it'll cost. It'll be interesting to hear what people make of the new one.

It is half the price if an iPad....$199.

It's bound to be more expensive than the American version but one of the selling points is cost They also have a Kindle touch out...how can I resist

It is the colour that is the major selling point for me,rather than the touch functions.

Shallow it may be,but I really miss pretty book covers

It is also handy to have tablet capabilities in such a small thing,for going on trips & holidays,although there is no 3G,so I guess this may be added to the Fire 2,so I may hold out for that.

 

The Kindle is a great piece of kit,& this new one does so much,is a lovely size & looks great - I suspect I know where my bonus will be going next year

Saw an article about them in the paper last night, by the looks of it they will be bringing out Kindles with ever increasing powers and the prices of pads in general will tumble.... watch this space

Yes i thought it had caught fire too as I read the title before I saw about the new device.

 

I have now read about the launch too and from what I read it sounds a long way off until they can launch here... apparently because the cloud where your info is stored is incompatible with English law regarding storage of music. So i got all excited and then deflated

If its colour, then it is backlit. But it might have an option to turn the brightness down (or even off).
