jasperaliceuk
Just started watching as funnily enough I was about to start a needle felt robin for the tree. Sue
Lesley
I do like that robin
craftyhunnypie
I liked that too. Wouldn't take much more to turn it into a chicken would it? I didn't think the W.I women included Kirstie much - they were a bit la dee da ignorant! I've seen kits for felted robin brooches..by irises of Penzance. LolaLayla
Where would be the best place to get the equipment for felting? I have a lot of felt so it's the brushes and wool I need. I am hoping to have a go at the paper bird later. Has anyone tried it yet?
Jennifer Jane
Darn it ...I forgot to watch! Me too, I remembered too late . Is it repeated, does anyone know, or do I have to go on I player?
Lesley
I don't know if it's repeated, sorry. I use foam blocks for needle felting, not the brushes. I'd not seen those before. You can buy what you need from Ebay stores or just pop 'needle felting' into Google and check out the shops.
jasperaliceuk
I use the foam too. The brush things and that little gadget are I think made by clover. They were doing 2d felting so I wondered if they were more suitable for that than 3D felting. I was hoping it would be a 3D robin but no. It was cute though. craftyhunnypie
Have been searching for a basic cheap & cheerful needle felting kit - anyone recommend a good supplier? I have quite a few merino wool tops - so only need a teeny bit extra. A small kit is what i need with needle & block. Emma.x

Jennifer Jane
To answer my own question, it's repeated on Sunday afternoon, so I've Sky plussed it.
Plum
My version of Kirstie's robin, still looks like a furball but at least a colourful one. My first attempt at needlefelting.

LolaLayla
That's lovely There seems to have been a "Kirstie effect" on some needle felting supplies. I was looking at some websites and some things were sold out.....this reminds me of trying to get a Tracy Island for ES's Christmas many years ago
craftyhunnypie
Ha - top of my Xmas list! I'd also like a cobweb scarf kit too. That robin is brilliant. I'd be very proud if I'd made that! Well done! Emma.x
Lesley
Yes, you can't get the Clover needle felting tool at the moment although supplies are due in soon ~I think. I think your robin looks lovely Plum

Plum
Thanks all, I did get a few tongue in cheek comments at work today when I showed them and admit it could do with a good meal The clover tool was sold out when I tried but I bought this one link which has 3 needles. You can change the needle to different sizes though I wouldn't know one from another.
