Guest
Vanilla Sky was PANTS! Actually, I quite enjoyed Vanilla Sky (NOTHING to do with fancying Tom Cruise, although I do).

Also couldn't stand Charlies Angels - sorry Dan Another one I just did not get is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I just kept thinking "why?" all the way through Still, there are a lot of goodies coming out soon...King Kong, Harry Potter,The Brothers Grim, Narnia, Elizabethtown. Just as well- it looks like it will be a cold winter this year & cinemas are always warm
Mrs Frugal
The Fog? I remember watching that when I was living in the nurses home at Peterborough. I was too scared to go to the loo along the dark corridors! Had to cross my legs all night!! Hope the remake is just as scary. Hope it sticks to the book too!! Guest
Other good ones coming soon...The Fog (remake), Doom, Flight Plan, Exorcism. When I was at high school, I occasionally helped out with the school film society, and we showed The Fog to the Senior Society one week. Mr Armstrong (slightly eccentric head of the Physics department, partial to swinging his kilt so you could see his bum while he wrote on the board ) set off some dry ice behind the screen, just at one of the scariest bits and then rolled about on the floor, practically wetting him, self as the 6th years ran screaming. Has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
Popcorn
Hee hee..good one Shona. We've been rolling about in tears over some old photo's of school plays. My hubby played Ghandi in the school play once and the photo was just hilarious. He had a flesh coloured swimming cap on with all his hair tucked in! Why they couldn't stick the Mary Poppins or the Wizard of Oz, I'll never know!
Guest
How do I manage it????! Got the Blair Witch Project this weekend - could actually be worse than Alexander!!!! Chookiehubbie fell asleep after about 10 minutes, which should have really waved the warning flags........... 2 bad films in 7 days...... Mel (& Paul)
I have to say I found Blair Witch scary - problem is we watched it on the first weekend we moved here - old creaky wooden timber structure (surveyor wouldnt call it a conservatory!)) and lots of trees .... red
I thought Blair Witch was rather good although I was extremely dissapointed with the ending. I thought they built up the suspense quite well in the earlier stages - although I think it's one of those films where you have to be in the mood for it - i.e. you want to be scared. Mrs Blue Sky
Worst film I've ever seen is Thomas & The Magic Railroad, my middle boy's favourite. So I've seen it again and again and again and I KNOW what I'm talking about here. It is just awful. Peter Fonda is so disinterested in being in it he can hardly get his words out, the children are really priggish and as for Britt Allcroft voicing Lady the Engine, well... "See thomas, little engines really can do big things" UURGH! I agree about the Blair Witch Project, I found it really scary. And I know this isn't a film, but about a year ago there was a thing on TV called Kingdom Hospital done by Stephen King and that really played on my mind. Was scared to go to sleep a few nights there. And what about Troy? that was on the other night. So rotten! All that soppy staring into the middle distance! Brad Pitt trying to look "Ooops, word censored!"le! Poor old Orlando with someone else's hair! Bit of a rant there, sorry.

I LIKED Troy Brad Pitts bum, Orlandos gorgeous face & the divine Sean Bean....nothing to dislike there I actually thought the movie was pretty good too, before I am dismissed as only watching it for the male totty

Mrs Blue Sky
Sorry Sarah, dissing a favourite movie of yours. Just goes to show how broad taste is - earlier in this thread someone was saying how much they hated Starsky and Hutch and I loved it. Is it right they have made a movie of Dukes of Hazzard now as well?? It will be the A-Team next.
