Egluntyne
I don't know what's going on outside, but the police helicopter is up above our house, it has been circling the area for about half an hour ... the noise coming down the chimney is making telly watching impossible, and the downdraft is making the fire sputter. I expect there is a miscreant in the woods. Again.
Space Chick
Yikes A few months ago there was a police helicopter above our house, police running through my neighbours garden with torches... The cul de sac was a hive of excitement at 1am..... I slept through it Hope normality returns soon x
AMS
We quite often have the police helicopter hovering above our house. My neighbour told me last night that they are usually looking for escapees from the local nursing home not wrong-doers.
Couperwife
Egluntyne, admit it, they are after you and they have found you sounds quite scary. we have helicopters over our house sometimes, we once had a policeman lookin in the back garden for someone , he shone is torch in the chicken run - they didnt like it and glared back (his face was a picture )

Sam
You'd better get running "Ey up" always reminds me of my old history teacher, you'd just be walking down the corridor and hear him yelling it
The Dogmother
Sat here in my PJs but no helicopters this time, we do get them a lot here though - the base for the Thames Valley chopper is very near us and there's usually enough trouble here or on the M40 for it to be hovering a fair amount. I hope the fire stays in Egluntyne
