I ordered another WIR extension for the girls which arrived yesterday and look what else Santa brought them!

 

 

 

 

There's also another little surprise waiting for them tomorrow when they wake up

Can I just ask you, is that the omlet walk in run that you have. It looks great if it is. What is the dark green border made with though? I love your set up - me thinks I will have to get saving (even though OH says "you can't have any more chickens". Pah! How very dare he!

Yes, it is the Omlet WIR and it's great; it's an awful lot of money but worth it in the long-run...no pun intended!

They certainly are very spoilt! It's like an activity centre for chickens in that run!

I love that little green stool that you have in there, all the same colour as your cube.

Thank you I bought that in IKEA for £4...it's probably the cheapest thing in the run!

I was but it made sense in the end Thanks, they are little sweeties I've had an absolutely rotten year, Mum had cancer, job at risk of redundancy, house move failed 4 weeks away from moving date and countless other things but these dear chooks of mine are really helping me through some tough times. Happy Christmas to you too

It's going really well The other girls are pretty chilled (so different compared to the hybrids I've had in the past). The new girls are feeding from my hand and are very confident little birds...they seem as happy as Larry...like their owner

Just caught up with this thread. Those new little uns are just adorable. Are they the 'Quail Barbu D'Anvers'? To me they look like over large sparrows but so sweet. I also see, from your signature, that you have some Pekins, where are their photos - hint, double hint

Thank you They love the branches that I found while out walking the dog and they enjoy jumping up at the cabbages hung from the hooks on the roof of the run; they're so funny to watch too

 

I found a very long tree trunk at the weekend and that is now sitting on the ground, along the length of the run and they love jumping on and off...walking along it as if it were a tightrope or just sitting on it

 

The run was purchased from Omlet and I am absolutely over the moon with it...as are my girls and I love being able to go in there with them
