Poorly! Gallbladder **Am home

Recommended Posts

Oh I hope Dogmother is on here soon to help. Or someone else has an idea - it's painful ( sorry too much info). :vom: Prunes not worked.

Not had a good day today mainly because of above problem, some sort of pulling pains due to tissue healing & being very tired, but that will be the Codeine. Using a walking stick to help get around the house. It's one Sid gave me & has a brass ducks head on it. Have had lots of rests, sleeps & stayed in Pj's today.

I did manage to plant some more seeds in pots on my window sills, which was the only achievement of the day. Hmm.

Sid has dug out some conifer trees & made me a border in my immediate garden on the front. Him & hubby had a bit of a bonfire going on one of the fields. Boys will be boys!

They also dug me a bit of a border to put my sunflower plants in. Obviously they won't be going out until all frost has gone. All these little jobs they are both doing are brightening my days though, as I know my garden & veggie patches will be beautiful this year.

Love the photos!! 8)8)

Hope your constipation has eased, it is horrible so you have my sympathy. I suffered when in early pregnancy. As others have said, loads of water and I hope you can get something from the chemist to help things along. I ate loads of dried fruit (figs and apricots) and veg and eventually it passed in both senses!!

Haven't been in too much pain from my wounds etc today. Constipation absolutely awful & chemists closed on Sundays. :( Have been - after about an hour on the loo. But nothing to celebrate about.

Have had lots of water & more prunes. Hoping it will ease soon.

I'd loved to be able to lay on my side in bed, but it feels like it pulls, so I sleep on my back. But this makes my legs ache & I can't snuggle into my pillow.

Today I dropped off at 3pm & had only planned on about a half hour cat nap. I woke at 6pm!!

But feel good tonight now.

On my own for the first time since my op today. Everything organised. All stuff for the fire is in & Hubby found a little trolley for me to use about the house for bits & bobs. My work & posting is all organised. Hubby has taken it today, but my neighbour will take my posting tomorrow for me. I can walk with him if I feel ok. Will be slow though.

Sid ( gamekeeper, as we call him) is looking after the watering of the outdoor plants & is in charge of egg collecting & shutting in the chooks. All sorted. :D

Not too bad today, just tired. Bit of pain from one of my scars, but can cope. Oh & the prunes worked late last night - hallelujah!

So I am much more comfortable today. Am all washed, dressed & hair tied back too. No makeup on, but my dangly earrings have cheered me up! :D

Sorry that I missed 'helping' with the constipation Emma :wink:here's the recipe that Jules mentioned, it's lovely enough to make and eat anyway and very easy too.

If your tummy is sore or full of gas from the op, then try lying on your back with your knees up and feet up by your bottom. Keep your back flat on the bed but gently lower your knees - keeping them together - to one side, then back up to the middle, then down to the other side. This helps to get the gut moving and expel any trapped gas ... cue lots of guffing! I was very sore with trapped gas after the hystericalectomy and it really helped.

Thanks Dogmother! :D I will try the feet up near bum exercise when I'm in bed. I must have a lot of gas in me, because my abdomen seems very big & it wasn't as big as that before the op. It was never flat, but never this big!

Have had a good day today - obviously still can't do a lot. But felt quite good in myself.

My lovely neighbours battled the elements & let the chickens out for me this morning & brought me in a coal scuttle full of coal. I was so grateful.

I managed to get my work done & all the orders for going out - slowly, but I did it. Then neighbour came at 3pm to collect the bag of posting & my mini shopping list.

When he came back from the village shop, he said " Emma, you've won the Easter raffle in the shop"!

Ha ha - I've won a box of Milk Tray, A bag of Mini Eggs, Malteaser Bunny & Caramel bunnies. I was well chuffed.

Yesterday, I won a Mug off my packet of gingernut biscuits. Must be having a run of luck! :D

Hubby back soon - I can't wait to see him & get some much needed TLC.

Oh one question...how long should it take for dissolving stitches to dissolve? Some of mine still have knots visible & 'loose ends'.
