mollyripkim
Spring has come here as well, been seeding an area of lawn, sectioned off with trellis, looked lovely until I realised the girls could squeeze through so I have had to patch it up with whatever came to hand, not so pretty looking now. Charlottechicken
new bed - too much info Charlotte I'm refurnishing the whole bedroom, just bought the bedstead first! Off to try out mattresses tomorrow, I'm confused already
chickencam
We need a new mattress too and it is just too difficult to choose, we think that we want a pocket sprune one with lots of springs, really need a few sleep overs in the bed departments around the county. This weather is just fab, we spent a happy afternoon tidying up our allotment and servicing our rotovator yesterday, and we will be back there tomorrow. Off outside to put some washing out I love this time of year.
Charlottechicken
Been out this morning and bought a mattress from a good local bed shop. I'd advise trying them chickencam, I thought I had to get a pocket sprung one, but it turns out most of the mattresses in the shop would have sufficed, just offered more support and padding than my old one. I haven't bought a pocket sprung one, tried them but they have so much padding on the top it didn't make a difference to how they feel. Went with a well padded Silentnight miracoil one in the end, very supportive underneath (for heavyweight OH) and lots and lots of soft padding on top for me! Free delivery as well, so quite pleased. Charlottechicken
New mattress is an ortho one, and I have a separate memory foam topper to go on top, DM, wouldn't be without it! Apologies for derailing your thread with all this bed talk

lillybettybabs
i have a little patch of sunburn around my neck from the past few days, The hens are looking hot and miffed because they can't FR due to operation "getting the lawn back" i do feel a little guilty but i shall try not to give in. The nesting birds are going through 8 fat balls a week at the moment; They're almost tap on the window when the feeder needs filling. The Dogmother
We had a massive garden project on the go yesterday, so Phil and I slathered up in sunscreen and bunged hats on.. it was really hot.
chickencam
My follically challenged OH had a red head last night, but he kept putting on the suncream before and after and he looked just healthy this morning, I did tell him not to wear a white shirt though the contrast might have been a bit bright. This always happnes to him, he has been known to catch the sun in February, he is fair skinned but has become more resisitant over the years because he spends as much time as he can outdoors. I had slightly pink cheeks and lower arms, we were outdoors for the whole weekend both at the allotment and in the garden. Who could wish for a better weekend at any time of year. chickencam
My ED seems ok so far, but DS is suffering fr the first time, I have started him on some antihistamines hopefully he will be ok because this is his GCSE year. ED started with it the year before hers, she is now in her A level year and was a lot better last year.
lillybettybabs
A teaspoon of local honey everyday helps OH with his hayfever, I can't find a cure to stop him getting bitten by midges. He's sooooo grumpy and paranoid about it.
