The picture will improve in a few days when the heat lamp gets turned off.

Hemcore is fantastic isn't it.

I'm actually plugged into the pc with my webcam. It has an extra cable and a power hub. I bought i orginally so my children can talk to my parents wehn the move abroad but this is a great use in the meantime.

Am just watching now and the little black chick is pecking constantly at the light coloured chick which is twice its size. It is trying to pick out the vent feathers and the other one, which seems a bit gormless, just stands there and lets it!

BRONZE - No, i'm afraid it isn't. It may be a mixed breed. I have a feeling it may be a silver sussex. Unfortunatly I didn't get to see the parents of the chick . Thanks for your help anyway! I suppose I will just have to wait until it is older.

yup it goes off when I go to bed as the place goes dark and it doesnt work then. Ive tried putting antipeck spray on the white one to stop the pecking but it does no good. theres no damage been done so I'm just keeping an eye on it. Over the next week I will be covering them at chicken bedtime so they get used tot the idea.
