Purplemaniacs
Wow that is beautiful. I wasn't sure what a Farmers Wife quilt was, is it machine stitched or done by hand? Chrissie

Plum
Wow, those fabrics are gorgeous, going to be a lovely quilt. Do you keep laying the blocks out and rearranging them. Just reread 96 to go how big are the blocks?
Mrs Webmuppet
Looks fab. Are you going to the NEC show this year?
bigmommasally
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments, I am really enjoying making these blocks. They are 6" blocks and I am trying to just use what ever fabrics I have in my stash, though I have had to buy some extra plain and blender fabrics to stretch it. I'm stitching by machine, some I have used the paper pieceing method, others I have used the templates in the book. I think I may use a Kona Snow White as sashing or a very pale silver grey but will wait until I've made them all before deciding. If anyone is interested there are some beautiful blocks and completed quilts by many other folk in the Flickr farmers wife group http://www.flickr.com/groups/1678802@N20/pool/ Looks fab. Are you going to the NEC show this year? I'm only going for one day this year, probably on the Sunday as its usually a little quieter. I'm not doing any of the courses this year, they've put the prices up again and I'm not convinced they are value for money any more.
