beach chick
the WI is meant to be getting dead trendy now, with lots of younger members. somehow that hasnt got through to my particular neck of the woods just yet. quite like the idea, but think I probably wouldnt behave well enough, and would have to not say anything outrageous just for effect... so no, not a member, but they have got a website, have you tried googling for it? Guest
Laura, try www.bookbrain.co.uk I put in 'On with the show' and got a listing in W H Smith for about £5. Is your book by Ann Harris and published in 1988?

craftyhunnypie
OMG this is really spooky! I went on the WI website last night & emailed about joining up. I think it's £26 a year! It looks fab, right up my street. They do loads of crafts, go on lovely walks, have demos & do displays for shows etc. There are 4 around my area so I do think I will join one. I was just worried that I may be too young as there is a slight stigma still about the WI being for oldies! But I really think it would be great! Have a look on their site & click on crafts & recipes. I spent ages going thru them last night. There was a page for knitting a sock for your ipod, how to knit a shrug, jam making & a nice recipe for a chocolate fudge cake plus some yummy tea loaves! I don't care what other's think or say - I'm going to join! Emma.x
