CatieB
Any ideas for removal? We are in shock that she jumped on the sofa and did a massive wee. So we found a big puddle. I removed as much as possible with kitchen towel and then wiped it over with a weak solution of biological washing powder. This morning there is a big stain and it still smells It is a natural leather without a coating, not shiny, analine I think its called. What a week, cat skulking, dog weeing and hard stuff at work. At least its the weekend and nice weather!
Ain't Nobody Here
There's advice (it specifically mentions animal urine) on this website. Seems like a lot of work . Good luck .
Cinnamon
What colour is the leather?
CatieB
It is a chestnut Brown, natural looking. I have read that link but have no idea about natural soap or where to get it from, or distilled water actually.
ohcarolina
Natural soap is I believe like saddle soap - try equestrian places. Distilled water from Halfords, Car spares places, maybe Robert Dyas & hardware stores Good luck
CatieB
Ooo I have saddle soap although I don't know what to do with it possibly; bit nervous as when I used it on a natural leather handbag it made it darker, not a problem on a handbag but would be for one cushion. CatieB
Have tried a little saddle soap but done it lightly so will probably need a couple of tries. Cushion currently drying. fingers crossed. And today coco decided to chew my pine table leg. Think this must be the terrible teenager faze. well I hope so anyway.
