I have just brought some Garvo for my 3 girls as I have heard so many good reveiws about this feed.

 

Well this morning I put the Garvo in their grub and took it out to them and thought I would stay out with them to see if they liked it. They loved it all 3 heads were in the grub at the same time going crazy for it so I think its wings up from all 3 of them.

 

I then decided to squat down in the WIR so I could have a good look at them all and Phyllis went round behind me and pecked my bum. It was a bit of shock to me so I moved and she followed me and kept trying to peck my bottom, then Vera and Ethel saw what she was doing and thought this would be a good idea as well. So I stood up so they couldn't peck my bum anymore and then relised why they were doing this silly me was wearing my nightie with red dots all over it. In future i'll make sure im not wearing any red lol.

Butterbee your definatly not the only one out in the garden in your nightie and dressing gown i'm always out in mine I usually take out a cup of tea in the morning and sit with my girls still in my jim jams not sure what the neighbours think but to be honest I don't care it's my garden and my girls lol

Ditto, not the only one to be out in your PJ's! I wear my flip flops out to mine and have fallen foul of the red toe nail chase many a time!

My hens have always pecked my bum whenever I've crouched down to their level. With one hen in particular it has become a bit of a game with her quietly sneaking behind me and seeing how long it takes for me to notice what she's up to. It is like playing a game with a toddler!!

Hi Salop Chuck, i'm hoping it was just my PJ's that my girls were into and they don't start to think it's a game not sure it would be fair 3 against 1

 

Even though I have been out there with them this afternoon and Phyllis who started the bum pecking has had a lovely cuddle and nap on my lap bless her

i feel your pain - our cat has started sticking his claws in my butt when I am sitting and he wants food luckily I have a well padded rear.

I think I would prefer my girls to peck my bum rather than my cats claw it Alis Girls even though I have plenty of junk in the trunk as well

A word of warning for the summer (when it comes) and you have shorts on - watch out for any moles on your legs.

They think they are bugs and that really hurts.

OMG - I think someone last summer posted re a mole on her arm or neck being pecked off They also like nail polish - I think they are like magpies all beady eyes and mischief.

Thanks for the warning regarding moles I have a few on my milk bottle white legs so if they are not blinded by my legs then they would probably go for my moles

the mole incident was me !!!! I have a short t shirt on and one of my girls pecked my mole off my back. It was really sore for a while !

ooh Lisa that sounds so painful I hope you were alright. Bless all our girls we love them but they can be little devils at times but I wouldn't have it any other way

The title of this post made me before I even got to read it I've only really got Dolly, one of my Orpingtons, who always pecks my gardening shoes and scratches them They're pink so maybe she thinks there might be some tasty earthworms in them?
