Actually, I'm only getting them for 'not getting notifications', not for anything else!

A little while ago a forum upgrade meant that instead of automatically being subscribed to a topic, we now have to tick the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' box at the bottom of the reply window. My guess is that now the lack of notifications has been fixed after the latest glitch, that we will only receive emails about topics we've subscribed since then and not from older topics.

It wouldn't have sent you one for your own post though. I expect the mail server connections on the forum haven't been set right.

Not spam in my case, Fred. What I don't get is that sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't . I'd just like a bit of consistency .

Mine are slightly erratic too - I get them for some of the topics I am subscribed to but not others. Mind you the same happens on another forum I use and they have the same software template.

I now have them. No idea why but just started to come through again yesterday.
