How do you start your weekend?

Recommended Posts

Friday nights are always cinema nights :D

Me and SIL start by going to morrisons for tea...usually lasagne  then we go to the cinema and get a large hot chocolate and put our own little marshmallows in it :anxious::lol: then we watch a film :D

Usually home by 9 and then I watch Bones or NCIS or something similar and I have a glass of wine :D

I love it :D

You all have such lovely civilized routines... I wish....

Fridays are our Knackered night, when I seem to cook 4 separate meals, depending on who appears when, and how long for...

Seem to spend too much time collecting and dropping teenagers at various locations at the moment.Another thing no one tells you before you get preggies

Run around looking after the animals & the hubby. Shut them all in securely at dusk. ( animals , not hubby). Then sit on our ' His & Hers' thrones & chill. He has a glass or two of red wine, I have a bottled of flavored water. We might watch a bit of telly, listen to some music, or we might go online for a nosey & shop or I might sew or crochet etc. We usually fall asleep in our thrones. Sometimes, we will go out for tea & our neighbours see to the chooks. Sometimes we go the local poultry auction. Our weekend starts when the animals go to bed on a Friday night & we shut the kitchen blinds.

:D With a big sigh of relief - no packed lunches to make for 2 days, unless there is a swimming comp

Boys train on a Friday night - so usually at the pool (2nd home) at some point. If they don't train - we usually slob out with a movie or they have a sleep-over at friends, leaving me with some peace to catch up on "my TV" with a well deserved glass of wine

Same as every day. Bleary eyed stumble downstairs, put kettle on make strong coffee, have a few sips, give chooks brekkers and let them out (rainy mornings finds them as reluctant to get up as me), kettle on, have brekkers and another cup of strong coffee. By then I'm either bouncing off the walls or ready to go back into hibernation. Just lately it's been hibernation! Except . . .

. . . we go walking on Saturday mornings - nice long route marches (nice apart from mud and blinking hills around here) - or if it's wet that will be on Sunday. By the time we get back we are too knackered to do anything else. Sunday is pottering, doing the washing (usually - helps get a head start for Monday) - at the moment it's cricket on TV so we are watching that. At the same time we've had decorators in so we've been shopping for new bits for the rooms so we've been to High Wycombe to mooch around John Lewis. Last week was Homebase. I can't think how my weekends could be more exciting . . . ahem!
