We have a new puppy

Recommended Posts

I had no intention of getting another dog yet as we already have a 13yr old chocolate labrador who we love dearly. However some time ago I started looking at small dogs with a plan to get one in the future. Before I knew it I was taken over with the urge to have a little lap dog and after a couple of months of researching the breeds I liked best we now have a little Shih Tzu puppy who we have called Daisy Mae.

She is actually 20wks old as she was bred by someone who shows dogs and was a 'run on' in that she was potentially a show dog but her sister was just a tad better for showing so Daisy Mae was for sale. As she had been kept for all that time with her mother and a whole host of other Shih Tzu's she hasn't been trained much and we are having to start at the basics. The only good thing has been that with her being a bit older she can hold her bladder all night, which is good. However she totally refuses to walk on the lead, so we've just started going to puppy classes.

She really is such an affectionate little thing and follows me everywhere and just loves to sit next to me for hours on end.

She looks well settled!!!

I've just noticed on your signature "Peaches the GCC", sorry to be dim (and nosey), but what does GCC stand for?:anxious:

Not dim at all Bramble as most people don't know what GCC stands for

He is a little Green Cheek Conure, with a green body, blue wings and a maroon tail. He is quite a chatterbox and has quite a good vocabulary but tends to be very repetitive
