Egluntyne
Just been watching the Xtra Factor while I did my ironing. Collagen Westwood: 'All my life I've been in training to be a celebrity.' What? Later :- Louis: 'You are like a cross between Pete Burns and Cher'. Collagen Westwood: 'That's like the biggest compliment ever'. What? The world has gone mad. Can't believe we haven't had an X Factor thread yet this year. Chucky Mama
It is rather dull this year I think. I think that I might watch the Xtra factor instead I haven't rated half of the people that they have raved about. It is starting to look rather tired. I wonder if they will boot out Nicole in favour of Mel.
Cinnamon
There are some great people this year. I especially loved the dark haired woman with a guitar who writes her own comedy songs - thought she was great.
craftyhunnypie
I liked her too. Something jolly & different. It's not the same without the gorgeous Mr. Cowell. Oh & they could bring back Sharon Osbourne too! Those were the days! A lot of singers that can also play the guitar this year! There are a lot of karaoke singers too. It's a shame what fame has done to Leona Lewis - I don't like her now. Who knows what garbage will win this year? You're always best being a runner up on this show. Egluntyne
I liked the girl with the guitar too .... and she's from Sheffield.
Egluntyne
Sheesh ... there are a lot of prima donnas in this years line up. Quite a bit of talent too.
CatieB
I agree I don't think there are any weak categories this year. Re guitars that's because they changed the rules to allow it. That Sheffield girl is very good, but not x factor. I can't see how it would work covering other people's stuff, her quality is her individuality. Looney
I agree. She needs to be able to do her own stuff in her own style...definitely not what X Factor does! There are most definitely a lot of large personalities this year and attitude! I have to admit I'm not getting into it as much as I have done in previous years, not quite sure why but it hasn't got me hooked yet
merlina
Sheffield girl reminds me of a young Victoria Wood. She's in the wrong competition tho - surely she should have gone for BGT? The way they've screened it seems very different this year - and not in a good way.
Chucky Mama
Sheffield girl reminds me of a young Victoria Wood. She's in the wrong competition tho - surely she should have gone for BGT? I completely agree, I was just coming on to post the very same thing. She really shouldn't be in the competition and I hope that it doesn't do her more harm than good. Mr Rhode Island Red
I know I am probably not in the majority when I say this, but I personally think that X Factor has run its course. It just seems to drag out for so long, I mean, it is starting now, Late September, and it will be on every Saturday night up until Christmas. craftyhunnypie
I liked the 3 'camp' lads. Loved the one with the feathery black shoulders / cape. He is such a good looking lad. I wish they'd put them together as a group. A shame that Robbie walked off stage. I liked the lad in the berry coloured beanie hat too, oh & those 2 girls that had to sing & also fill in the gaps for the missing 3rd person. Still love the guitar girl, but agree on how she would be able to interpret songs to suit her style. Will be good tonight. Emma.x
Groovychook
I don't normally watch this but caught a few minutes of it last night... Saw the girl who'd partaken in a few whiskies before her audition. OH noticed that her name was 'Collagen' ... is he just winding me up or was that really her name?! Egluntyne
She was really called Holly, but had changes it as a tribute to Collagen. You couldn't make it up.

CatieB
She was really called Holly, but had changes it as a tribute to Collagen. You couldn't make it up. But it was the vacant 'I've not drunk much, and it hasn't effected me' look that got me. Often see it in DH
Looney
Collagen. Hmmm. She was erm, interesting! She had a 'certain' style about her....You've got wonder what she'll think when she watches herself on the TV! But she wasn't drunk, honestly she wasn't
chickencam
She was hilarious on Saturday night and caused a few giggles amongst myself and the daughters I hope that she has learnt a timely life lesson but I somehow doubt it I was sad that rock boy didn't get through, he was lovely and would have given a different dimension, the audience loved him, but he just didn't fit their profile, which obviously hair shouldered camp boy did, even though he couldn't sing, he was entertaining in a cringey way though. The young 16 year old girl was amazing, she looks like she has been transported here from the 19050's and seems lovely and so mature. I think that the standard could be pretty high this year. I agree it is sad he didnt make it. I dont understand about the profile thing given that the girl with the guitar (the Victoria Wood style one) got through. I'm interested to see how she can work I missed that, was it on the ordinary one or the Xtra one?Collagen. Hmmm. She was erm, interesting! Egluntyne
What the heck was Louis playing at last night? That poor girl thought she had got through because he said he wanted to save her ... then he decided, after much time wasting, that he wanted to go to deadlock .... and guess what, the comedy turn got through ... and his voice was giving up throughout his song. Good for Gary Barlow. I'd have flounced off too.
Cinnamon
I agree. Loved Melanie, Kye,Lucy & Jermane this week
chickencam
I think that X Factor is rapidly losing any credibility I would, however have more sympathy with Gary if it hadn't been for Frankie last year. Louis is a hopeless case, all I can presume is that he has something over Simon Cowell otherwise why would he still be there??
kinsk
Didn't see much of last night but heard what happened it was so obviously going to happen. I just feel really sorry for the girl that got kicked off, talentwise there was just no contest, but ratings and publicity won out. Not that I ever would but I refuse to vote on these things as I seriously doubt the validity of the results. I also feel quite sorry for Rylan?? think that's his name. I actually quite like him and don't think anyone deserves to be set up like he is being, nor does he deserve the personal abuse he's copping for, he's just a pawn.
