sparkysmum
I've been having a truly horrible time with various family members recently but thought I'd share that tomorrow I'm having a day playing handbells It feels a bit selfish but I am soooooooooooooo looking forward to having a day to do nothing but play my bells at a Scottish Handbell rally. Please wish me luck as I should have been practising but tonight have had a couple of glasses of wine instead. Alli x
bluekarin
Good for you. Sometimes you can get so bogged down in family disagreements, that it is good for all to take some time out and do what you want to do. Enjoy your day tomorrow

sparkysmum
Aw, thanks ever so much folks, I did have a lovely day. Played lots of massed ringing pieces and a processional. Listened to other teams and ate for too much cake A day away from the hurley burly of life. Lovely

surfer_chicken
I'm glad you had a great day I used to play the handbells all through junior school in a club one of the teachers put together. We used to play at the old folks home near the school at Christmas and Easter and occasionally during assemblies. I really enjoyed it The teacher let us use her proper old bells which were really beautiful. I was on the smallest pair- we called them 1 and 2 so I don't know which notes they played.
