Do any of you do this? If so - any good. Just for pocket money not for main earnings.

I have done & am signed up for several sites that do these.

But I find that you go right the way through a survey only for the 'Sorry, but your profile does not match what we are looking for' page to come up. It happens all the time ,often after 5 - 10 minutes spent answering questions.

I am certain that they already have the info they need & just put this up before then end so they don't have to pay you!

 

So I have stopped doing them.I don't think I EVER actually completed a single survey.

Mystery Shopping is much better imho, for pocket money.

I looked into doing them, but during research found people saying much the same as Cinnamon!

I do the Valued Opinions ones.

Sometimes you do get exactly the problem others have mentioned, which is very very annoying!

 

But the money does mount up. I convert mine into Amazon vouchers and have used them to buy am omlet fence; a bosch cordless hedgetrimmer and a cordless screwdriver over the past couple of years

 

I also do YouGov, but it's taken about 4 years to earn £50 there (they don't ask me to do many surveys)

 

So they're not good for a quick cash fix, but nice for earning an occasional treat

I do the YouGov ones. You usually get points, and when you get to 5000 points you get £50.

Some of the surveys are rewarded with prize draw entries instead.

How do you sign up to be a mystery shopper? And how often do you have to go mystery shopping? I always think it must be quite fun.

Google it - lots of companies come up who are looking for shoppers 7 auditers.

NEVER pay a fee though - those ones are scam set ups.

a friend of mind did mystery shopping a few years ago. In return for going out and about (sometimes having to act scenarios to a degree such as 'pretend this item being returned is REALLY inconveniencing you') and having to document the responses, he made some cash, and had a few meals/drinks for free into the bargain.

I do You Gov but they usually say the same - not needed for that survey. I am about 100 points from the minimum collection - can't even remember how many £ you get now - and seem to have been stuck there for the past 2 years. Usually you get around 50 points for a survey. or you used to. Just find it irritating that I'm so near and I'm sure it's a ploy not to pay up. Wasn't thinking of continuing after that anyway.

I'm really surprised to hear that. I don't think i've ever been turned down for a YouGov survey. so I assumed it it was the same for everyone.

 

They do do one cheeky thing, which is when you finish a survey you get a pop up window which asks you if you want to swap your 50 points for 50 prize draw entries, and the "yes" option is the one that is pre-selected. So if you don't read it and just press enter, you give up your 50 points. It caught me out a few times, I wonder if that's why you're stuck at still needing 100 points?

Of the few people i know who have done on line surveys, they made nothing out of it ....not even pocket money.

My YD is a mystery shopper. She gets rembursed for all she does ( quite a few lunches, she calls them free lunches ) so has to keep the reciepts, she gets all her travel refunded and she gets paid for doing the job.

She has to check out the store and staff / toilets /cleanliness and other things and write a report, all done on line too. She quite enjoys it and writes very honest reports on her findings.

I do a few through Valued Opinions. I have made a little bit from them, I don't always respond to the requests if I am busy and several I am not eligible for. I would say I have been doing it for around a year and have made almost £40 in that time so you certainly do not earn a lot but I have had £30 of Sainsburys vouchers that made our weekly shop a bit cheaper! If you are the sort of person that tends to laptop in front of soaps and films etc then go for it but be aware that half way through you might be told that you are not eligible or that the survey has now had enough responses and is closed
