Buried my little Madge this morning. We put her under a tree in the garden and when I looked out the sun was shining on her. Can't believe I would feel so sad. When my hubby went to check on her yesterday teatime he came back and sobbed his heart out. She was one of our first chickens and was a real little character. We used to say that she was like Mavis Riley on Corrie - she used to waddle down the ladder from the henhouse and start gossiping with the others. Sleep tight Madge.xx
