Mercedes55
We have only just started watching Series 1 of The Bridge so a bit lost as to what is going on in Series 2. Can't believe we didn't watch it earlier as it's so good
Chickendoodle
We have only just started watching Series 1 of The Bridge so a bit lost as to what is going on in Series 2. Can't believe we didn't watch it earlier as it's so good Ooh don't watch or read anything else to do with series 2 as what happens at the end of series 1 is a shock and you don't want to know in advance. !!! Jennifer Jane
I really enjoyed this series and especially the last episode - can't wait for the next series, but I suppose I'll just have to!!! I just don't think that Salamander is going to adequately fill the gap. I love Martin & can't believe he would be that stupid either. DH wondered if the shadowy man was Rasmus, but I'm not sure how that would work out, didn't think about the ex-boyfriend. I did imagine that he had a beard/floppy hair but I didn't recognise the voice. *Whisper - I think I might even prefer the Bridge to The Killing
yvonne
I think shadow man may be the senior police officer (Lars ?) or Rasmus, also seems likely that Martin is a decoy, poss the prisoner (Jens ?) is not dead at all. (Honest, I do watch this but all the Scandinavian names get me muddled up esp with Borgen and the Killing to try and remember too !) Great last episode though - I taped series one but deleted it as couldn't get into it, but so many people raved about it that I persevered this time and loved it ! Egluntyne
Remember Brix in The Killing? I'm sure his face was on a board with suspects photos in an earlier episode.
yvonne
Had a sudden thought last night that the shadowy figure may be the bloke who fled to Malaysia as he was the original scientist and ex-boss of the women who was shot...makes sense to me anyway. (Or the bloke in prison who had escaped and the suicide story is a cover)....oh now I don't know again!!
Chortle Chook
My money is on the guy in prison, and that when Martin sees him at the end of the 2nd to last episode (boy did that make me jump ) it is not something in poor Martin's head
Janepie33
OH thought it might be Rasmus too!
Chickendoodle
In a way I wish that only 1 episode a week was shown as that would mean we had 10 weeks of something good on a Saturday night rather than 5. I know that if I had any willpower at all I could record it and only watch one each week but that is not going to happen. The Bridge is by far my favourite of the Scandi dramas. Of the ones I have seen this is my order The Bridge The Killing (apart from Series 3 which I thought was a bit pants) Borgen (equally as good as The Killing but in a different way so joint 2nd really) Arne Dahl Other European series I liked Series 1 of the French detective drama Spiral - series 2 not quite so good The Returned - loved this Will give Salamander a go but I don't have any high hopes that it will match up to The Bridge
Daphne
I discounted Rasmus as I thought he was genuinely a hopeless cop trying to be a better cop but I can appreciate the writers might be extra devious ....we shall see I was just thinking the other day about my order of preference for all these dramas as well, and mine is: The Killing The Returned The Bridge (Series 2, I wasn't overkeen on Series 1) Borgen (ditto) Spiral (only seen Series 2, got Series 1 on DVD but not watched it yet) Not seen Arne Dahl
Plum
Don't forget to watch Unit one it's very good and I love The Protectors which is Danish you'll recognise some actors they keep cropping up Nah not Rasmus he's not strong enough even if he's bitter and a prat

Chortle Chook
I loved the Returned too. My total favourite is Borgen - all series, then the Killing - 1st series (series 2 and 3 were nowhere near as good as it seemed to me), then this series of The Bridge (I was not all that keen on the 1st series and am actually rather shocked at how little I remember - could it be age kreeping up ) I also loved Wolander (but not the one with the walrus, nor the Brit version) and can't forget Montalbano because it always makes me smile. (editted to get spelling of Montalbano right ) Edited February 7, 2014 by Guest
Jennifer Jane
Ah Montalbano! I love him I haven't made my mind up about young Montalbano yet, the hair puts me off, though they have got the legs right
Groovychook
My list would be The Bridge The Killing (late to that though- only seen series 3... must catch up!) Borgen Liked Arne Dahl too although I didn't see much of it. Haven't seen any version of Wallander either. Ah Montalbano! I love him I haven't made my mind up about young Montalbano yet, the hair puts me off, though they have got the legs right I love Montalbano too and although I have a bit of a crush on the older Salvo, I prefer storylines from the 'Young Montalbano' series. I know what you mean about the hair... just wrong!! What did we think of Salamander? I wasn't expecting to like it as I could never get into Spiral. I was very pleasantly surprised and looking forward to next weeks episodes I do prefer a bit more gloom and foreboding of a Saturday night though... Love sat nights Love Montalbano as well. Our bikes are called Salvo and Livia
Groovychook
3 murders not enough for you I'm just struggling to adjust to all those murders taking place whilst it's sunny! I like all the sepia tinted grimy look of the Nordic series- they sort of set the tone @ your bikes too!
Egluntyne
Loved the Nordic actors in Midsummer Murders last night.
