Lesley
Aaah! - the innocence of youth We don't have many of the tacky lights around here but Stratford does have a spectacular set of street lights for Christmas. They were turned on last Friday and as we'd got Lauren and Jake staying with us I thought we'd wait until all the fuss over the visit from Father Christmas and his reindeer had died down and then drive round all the streets to look at the lights. We told them we were going somewhere for a surprise - Lauren was suitably impressed but Jake was nearly in tears - "I thought we were going shopping and to buy a burger" ( - wrong Grandma then Jake!) He was really stroppy all the way home
Cate in NZ
Aww poor Jake . Personally I'd prefer Christmas lights to shopping and a burger.... but the perspective's a little different at his age. Clare, keeping you off topic, I've just noticed you only need 12 more postings before you graduate to Chicken Addict. Go girl, you can do it
