Valkyrie
Just a heads up - although I know youz all being sensible and all that. Hubby got a very nasty phfishing/junk email yesterday which starts off as responding to his recent blood test (he did have one recently) and that they found he had a low red count but high white count. Said it was something or other (didn't mention leukemia) and that it was cancer. I guess it's click here to get treatment. At first he was thrown by it and quickly realised it was one of those sorts of mails, but it was just plain despicable and some poor person who has had a test for something similar and vulnerable could be caught out by it. He was really shocked that someone would send such a thing. Purple Tree asked if it was NICE - yes it was - and she says that a TV Doc warned about this one on twitter yesterday. So thar we go. And if they find the delightful person that set this up then I think said darling should be made to swim with hungry sharks.
Willow
I read about this, it's awful. What sort of person must you be to think this up Glad he realised quickly that it wasn't legit
Valkyrie
Yes indeed. But I have been sending myself "medications" of the inflatable kind as someone is using my email address as a title. I get loads from me all variations on a theme. Very frustrating but that's nothing compared with the nature of this beast.
Grandmashazzie
Dreadful, what sort of person does this sort of thing. It makes you wonder what sort of upbringing they have had,to be so totally uncaring, unfeeling and to have so little regard for others. soapdragon
I recall reading about this one in the press recently; how do some people sleep at night?
Princess Leia
We had it a few days ago. Our spam filter picked it up though and binned it. I can see how it would catch folks out though even though its a variation on an old trick.

Valkyrie
Yup - have told my mum about it too. She said pretty much the same as the rest of us.
JellyBean2605
We had an email at work about this scam a few days ago, apparently the email contains an attachment containing results or something like that, when you open it dangerous stuff can be downloaded onto your computer/phone. The emails tells the reader they have cancer (which must scare the living hell out of them) and claims its from NICE (a clinical guidelines body who would never contact a patient). It's horrible
Valkyrie
That's the one. Still beggars belief that someone would do that though.
