Purplemaniacs
I need a camera bag too, so I will be interested in the replies you get. Since I have had the replacement camera following uninvited visitors I have not got round to buying a new case. Chrissie
Luvachicken
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/lowepro/nova-160-aw-black--75407/show.html My daughter chose this one. She is 22 and she has similar camera stuff to you. She said it also comes with a handy waterproof cover
Luvachicken
Scrambled, my daughter also says not only can she fit her camera stuff in, but also her purse, phone and spare batteries, if a little bit of a squeeze.

Grandmashazzie
Just a thought,we bought camera, lenses, bag etcetc for going on a group holiday to Africa and met chap in group who had exactly same camera, more lenses and stuff in an ordinary rucksack, protected with some towels. He felt he had less chance of getting it stolen. Also he didn't look as much as a nerdy tourist as my OH
Cat tails
I've got a Kata camerabag for my DSLR. It's a back pack that can also be carried as a sling bag. Biggest pro for me: it has a separate compartment for things like your wallet, keys, phone etc. quite roomy. If I pack economical, I can even fit my lunch and a bottle of water in there. http://www.kata-bags.us/3n1-25-pl-sling-backpack I has a million options, carries nice on your back and wasn't incredibly expensive. majorbloodnock
I have almost the same kit as you (it's a Nikon D5100 with the kit 18-55mm lens and a 55-300 lens), and I've got a LowePro too - the 170. It also has enough room for spare batteries, cleaning stuff and a few SD cards, but I'd be stuck if I had to fit another lens in unless it was a fairly small prime lens. At that point, a rucksack would be a necessity. Nonetheless, the LowePro has been excellent, and even has a hidden rainproof cover that can be stuck around it should the weather take a turn for the worse. Durability both on the case and the cover appear to be good. P.S. Already an "old person", and bag won't do anything to change that look. P.P.S. Nice camera. Example piccies are now mandatory . Cat tails
When I was looking for a good bag, of course I checked out LowePro, because it is one of the most used brands. Reasons why I eventually went for Kata: - More options for extra stuff: said wallet, phone etc. - Option to put in a trolly, when dragging around tons of kit for a long period - Simple method for adding a tripod - I find most LowePro incredibly ugly... I know a bag needs to be practical, but... I don't want to have to look at a butt ugly bag all the time...
