Cat tails
Not sure if it will actually work or be practical, but I found this bird feeder (http://www.singingfriend.eu/) and thought it might make a nice chicken feeder. The ladies found it a bit confusing that you actually can see the feed, but not get to it. But you can attach it to just about anything with a strip of velcro and the feed stays relatively dry. I just put it up, so will have to see if it works. The Grub is still out too. The biggest downside for me with the Grub, is that it takes sooo much food to fill it in such a way that my chickens actually can reach the food. And I think it is rather hard to clean. If it turns out my bird feeder is not a success, I can make the garden birds happy with some extra feed.
Cat tails
Smart chickens I have! I think this one might be a keeper! Now only decide how I'm going to attach it their run, so they can also use it, when locked in.
dancing cloud
Looks the business and looks like it would keep the food dry, despite wind and rain! My chooks would be very jealous Two questions - do your chooks just drag all the food out and throw it on the floor? (my wild birds do this with their feeders) and how much are they? (the website doesn't mention a price)
Charlottechicken
That looks really good, and I love the Breedr one as well. Is it a trade website, can't find a supplier in the UK
Cat tails
Only €10, which is about £8, but they were on sale. Normal price is €13 (£10). Normally I find the wild bird food everywhere... So far no spillage from this feeder. The ladies sort have to tip toe to get into the Grub. If I put more in, they will chuck everything out. I'm thinking of getting a second one... Hayleybug
wow that looks great! wish they had a supplier in the UK. my chooks always balance on the edge of the trellis to try to reach the bird feeders on my bird table, I wonder if theres something similar that could work failing being able to get one of these....
