Alis girls
Sorry was 2012 she died - and it wasnt Anna Massey who played Verity. Robin Ellis lives the good life in France with wife, cats and chickens and writes cookery books on diabetes as hes a type 2 diabetic. Cinnamon
Yes, she did die a few years ago. She made wonderful jewellery before she died & built up a really successful business with it. She provided the girls from 'Charmed' with their jewellery on the show.
Valkyrie
Oh yes I rather fancied Richard Morant as the Doc! Um seems another one no longer living.
The Dogmother
I remember him - he was rather fanciable in Flashman, wasn't he? Just looked him up, and he came from near here.
Valkyrie
I don't remember Flashman. I remember liking the name Dwight and thought oooh yes nice boy's name. OH said NOPE!!!
Ain't Nobody Here
I had to look up Richard Morant too - I totally remember him in Flashman, he was vile (but rather dishy!).
WitchHazel
There were two actors who played Dwight Enys, I seem to recall.... ..but a quick google tells me that the first Dr Enys, Richard Morant, is the one I remember best, and that's the face I picture when I read the books. The Dogmother
Lovely programme again on Sunday, although a couple of things irked me; Why was half the village watching out for pilchards day after day? It was like deja vu all over again. I know it was important to their economy, but I got the message after the 2nd shot. Prudy and her feckless OH are getting on my nerves with their 't'ain't right...' routine they remind me of the ugly sisters in Cinderella. I really feel that this bit of script has been over-egged, and is getting too pantomime. Is it just me?
WitchHazel
Prudy and her feckless OH are getting on my nerves with their 't'ain't right...' routine they remind me of the ugly sisters in Cinderella. I really feel that this bit of script has been over-egged, and is getting too pantomime. Is it just me? Jud said that all the time in the books. However, it didn't seem so often (when reading the book) because there were a lot of pages in between each interreaction. TV naturally concertinas up the action. The Dogmother
Having said that, there were some lovely, and touching scenes in that episode, and plenty of Mr Turner's bare chest to be getting on with.
Alis girls
T'aint right or proper - I thought they were avoiding accents in this series as some actors arent good at them. I agree lets have ye good olde fashioned English we can all understand.
mullethunter
Go on YouTube and search Poldark proper version. Episode 2 bonus is my favourite. Brilliant That's a Cornish accent
Alis girls
The next job I want is appying the baby oil to Aidan Turner so he looks muscular and hunky in the programme. I will elbow anybody out of the way to be first in the queue.

Groovychook
What a marvellous final episode Feeling slightly bereft and will be doing a lot of thumb twiddling till the next series starts!
Alis girls
Bereft was the right word - the ending "Poldark will return" didnt reassure me that much as it'll be autumn or new year before we see his fate. "Taint blah blah blah" you catch my drift.
