Alis girls
Forgive me for being appallingly pathetic but one of my new girls is crouching. I hope this means an egg soon. My elderly bird has been laying eggs with thin shells and its so long since we saw a non shop bought egg I have got so demoralised its very eggciting. OH said "bout time" I got Prudie as she had a fairly red comb and was big and gobby but shes turned out to be a bit timid. She also gave my OH a beak lashing when he held her - the air was blue. Hey ho - hopefully an egg soon .

Alis girls
No egg yet - went down and had words "ok Missus wheres my egg" all I got was a bok. I am not the most patient of persons. Whats the best music to do an egg dance too then? "how do yer like your eggs in the morning...."

Alis girls
Got another egg today - different colour so no idea whose laying - I dont think the other girl looks ready - her comb is red but short. Not complaining mind as eggs in the last 6 months have been verging on famine proportions at times.
Luvachicken
You will soon have too many eggs and your egg famine will be a thing of the past
Purplemaniacs
Could it be from the same girl? I have found that sometimes the egg colour changes as they start laying. Chrissie

Alis girls
On the downside I nearly fell over her as she did it on my foot and I wasnt expecting it. So nearly had a squashed crouching chicken
