I thought a couple of days ago that Zoe was looking very red in the face and I've checked each day since but no egg, but today I went out in the cold when I got back from work and there waiting for me was a dear little egg.

We haven't had an egg for ages now, I'm going to have to buy some soon which is a bit annoying cos they won't be as nice as "home made".

Congratulations on your eggs - my girls lay so well we have an egg glut from the two of them = I am always giving eggs away - usually 2 most days!

Since I last posted, Symphony has started laying again, we've had 3 eggs in as many days

Merry laid an egg yesterday - found it lying on the run floor this morning before I let them out - didn't notice it last night. I thought she was getting a bit antsy when I cleaned out the cube on Sunday - she was standing and whingeing at the bottom of the ladder - she usually isn't that bothered. Although I thought scatty Pippin would be first (unless she has a hidey hole somewhere) because she was making funny noises and has been much more red in the face longer than the others.

But whoohoo it's earlier but I'm not complaining!

 

Whoohoo for everyone else too! The bluetits are nesting nearby so that has been a source of entertainment for the girls who stand around watching them flit in and out the little nest box. Maybe that has been the driving force? Can't really say it's sunlight - we haven't had much!!!

Well I had to go and crawl in the run because she laid an egg behind the ladder! But another one was in the nest box. We have 4 eggs now. I'm still not sure why Pip hasn't laid - she was red a long time before. I'm wondering if she's found a hidey hole - and they've probably floated next door!

Whilst I was cleaning out today, Zoe spotted a nice, clean egg box had appeared and decided to try it out whilst singing a lovely egg song.

By the time I had cleaned the run and replaced with some fresh bedding she came back out.

I went to get the egg and all I found was two Zoe shaped dimples in the aubiose

You're getting closer then me Luvachicken. Bernie seems to have decided that if no one else is going to bother she doesn't see why she should, so all I'm getting is Amy going in to the nest box every day and kicking the bedding everywhere.
