Grandmashazzie
Another legend gone. One of my teenage crushes. My bedroom was covered David Bowie and Marc Bolan posters and my little blue budgie was called Bowie.
Charlottechicken
Shocking news to wake up to. A real icon of our times RIP I was saddened by the death of Lemmy from Motorhead after Christmas too, he was one of my pin ups, the iconic Ace of Spades cover was on my wall, now there's only one of that line up left
bluekarin
I couldn't believe it when I saw the news this morning. Such sad, sad news. He was such an amazing musician. RIP Mr Bowie
Groovychook
In a state of shock. Such sad and unexpected news I was only listening to a review of his latest album a couple of days ago... Very well received and groundbreaking stuff yet again. He'll be much missed, but what an incredible musical legacy he's left behind. R.I.P. Olly
I'm not sure that I ever owned a Bowie album but he was part of my teenage years, he had a huge influence on everything we listen to today.
Daphne
I also can't believe it, OH both very sad. We can't think of anybody in music as influential and creative in our time, it feels that part of our heritage has disappeared. RIP Mr Bowie
chickencam
Ashes to Ashes was the first single that I ever bought, I love so much of his music as does my 17 year old daughter and Labyrinth is one of her favourite films, she has seen it so many times. As she said this morning at least we have his music. R.I.P.

Ain't Nobody Here
Such a shock and so sad . Another legend from our youth gone too young. Out of 1,211 tracks, my MP3 player chose to play Ashes to Ashes this morning. I was only out for 20 minutes.
Valkyrie
Definitely didn't expect to hear that on the radio this morning. A very talented man indeed.

I've been listening to 6music for most of the day and they've played so many great songs. Just goes to show what a huge catalogue of work he's left behind
