gavclojak
My lovely sweet kind soul Barbara fell asleep in the night and didn't wake up. she was the last of my first girls and she really was a dear old lady. she hobbled around on her arthritic leg and was a real joy. she had a lovely day yesterday, I thought she was quiet so gave her a tin of tuna (not the whole tin!) she had a lovely free-range then put herself in the cube around 5.30 last night and went to sleep. No sad faces please, just claps and smiles, she deserves that!! sleep tight old girl

mullethunter
Maybe she thought to herself - 'What a lovely day, can't top that, that'll do me' Well done Barbara and well done Gavclojak for giving her such a good second life
redsunset
Barbara had a very charmed and happy life with you, and brought you hours of pleasure watching her blossom into a 'normal' chicken doing all manner of what all chickens no matter what country they reside in do! She would say thank you very much

sparkysmum
Sorry to hear it but what a wonderful life she had. Thanks to you she felt the sun on her back and stood in the garden for showers, scratched for bugs and experienced real chicken life. jimnpaula
I am sorry to hear that the last of the little-legged wonders has left you, but what a wonderful retirement!
gavclojak
Thanks Paula, that's why I'm not mourning her, she has a fantastic life, she was the boss of all the girls but wielded her power gently. She will be missed but her little life is celebrated.
