Sympathy - been there twice same toe - both times when pregnant and it hurts+++++. have a good swear. Need to strap it to toe next to it. Hope you feel better

Been there to - dropped a mallet from a high shelf onto mine

It really hurts, so I sympathise.

They didn't do anything to mine......in fact they made me walk to x-ray

It healed all lumpy too, so it looks even uglier than toes do normally, if thats possible!

This is now the 3rd time I have broken a toe, and ditto twice on the same toe!!

 

Hurts like hell.

Did that a very long time ago kicking an over inflated car tyre (don't ask). Finished up with a dinky little cast on it, but had to cut the front out of one of a pair of shoes to wear them.

Ouch! I feel your pain having broken right big toe twice (obviously didn't do it properly 1st time ) No strapping or sympathy just told to 'be careful'.....as if I was going to run a marathon Top joint now slightly crooked ....good job I'm not vain

Yes, after the first time I broke a toe (they literally just bound it to the next one with plasters), I've come to expect no sympathy.

 

Such as I got: "Oh you've broken it before, it might heal slightly crooked and funny then. Take painkillers for the pain and try not to bash it again." She didn't even have the common decency to offer to put me into an medically induced coma for a few weeks until I recovered!

Or prescribe Gin and tonic I keep on at my GP about the benefits of G&T on prescription but she seems more of a green tea drinker

One thing you learn about GP's working with them is

1 they never ask their staff if

they are better when they come back from sick - so patients cant expect TLC - no chance

2 if you are dying they wont send you home - just pile on more work

3 Soapdragon - you'll be classed as heavy drinker even 1 G&T a week and frogmarched to Practice Nurse for alcohol counselling. What she wont tell you is that she drinks more than you

4 If you want sympathy Nurses are better - but you have to catch us on a good day.

My mom banged her toe and it turned the darkest purple I've ever seen!

 

We went to a fysiotherapist and he did an amazing job in taping it in! The bruise was gone within 4 days!

No broken bones here but don't know why?! I tripped in the garden yesterday, the side of my head hit the paving slabs first and then my shoulder! One black eye and a very badly bruised shoulder!
