Alis girls Posted November 2, 2016 Author Share Posted November 2, 2016 Having just watched it with OH who has not seen it I have several observations 1 Sargent Stone is lying about the DNA result. 2 the girl at the end understood French so I think she might be Sophie. 3 not sure whose body was in shed but don't think it's Sophie's 4 just when it seemed to be making sense thanks to the lovely Omleteers I am even more confused. Cat tails Posted November 2, 2016 Share Posted November 2, 2016 I don't think Stone was lying about the dna results I think Alice was already dead when Sophie got back. She lied about being Alice. She disappeared and took the body of the real Alice to the shed and hid her there. Then lit the shed on fire and took off. She is now in Switzerland, where the van was seen as well. Maybe she teamed up with the abductor and is now traveling around in the now red van. I do think Matthew has an absolutely awfull life and I now do understand how he became so cross with his family. I reckon it's Alice in Switzerland , remember in past episode they look alike or she could be Sophie and the 3rd girl was The one who came back who looked like the other two because as I said Alice's dads a naughty boy. I'm confused about Reed I thought he was really a goody but it seems not. More twists to go! Now I'm missing the next two episodes so when I catch up in 3 weeks I'll really have lost the plot. Sophie/Alice is quite a determined girl, and to have outlived the other girls she must have a huge inner strength. I too thought it was the mum sitting at the table, until they got close up and I saw how hacked her hair was and then she turned. I thought them going to the park was a waste of time. It was a while ago and I didn't think there would be anyone there who would recognise the girls. It was really sad to see how Stone lost her baby and so so sad how Matthews dad was to him. She went to Reed's grave first with flowers so she must have cared a great deal for him which could have been a reason for suicide or carrying on as you say. I'm struggling to see the girl in Switzerland as Alice/Sophie after the way she looked at home, unless there's another timeline. Oh yeh there is that must have been now! Girl number 3 must be niece of man in Iraq - could that be whose body is in the shed? Girl in Switzerland is Alice. Reed was trying to rescue / look out for the girls OR its Stockholm syndrome. I think there are 3 different stories going on, and 3 different girls: the one girl who we know was the couple's daughter, and then the 2 identical twins. I have a current theory - I think the reason the girl's DNA matched his is because they're twins as the result of another affair that he had. I'm wondering if the body in the grave is the actual daughter's and for whatever as yet unknown reason the one twin felt guilty about the daughter's death and so took her own life. Unless I missed something... Unless maybe it was edited so that it just looked like the third sister was the same actress and that was actually a different point in time again.
