Alis girls

The Missing 2

Recommended Posts

The last shot of the girl "that looked like" Alice (who I think is Sophie, still get it?) was of the present day. So it could still be Alice (who I think is Sophie), but an older version.

Ooooooh - that might be me then!

I glanced away from the TV as the wife was explaining there was a third girl in the photo and as I looked up at the TV it was the same girl Alice/Sophie, so I had assumed there was a twin involved somewhere!

But you're right, it was probably just a different point in time and as I wasn't paying enough attention I just missed that.

I'll have create an incident board in my living room with screenshot print-outs and a sociogram! Someone fetch my sleuthing cap!

Reed the elder and another

The 'another' was Stone - the guy who's now got dementia

I'm convinced he's involved in the disappearance. When he said to his daughter "I knew a girl who looked so much like you" my brain immediately went "hmmm..."

I was even wondering if they were somehow going to try and get really clever and have one of the missing girls be his daughter that the other one knew nothing about or something...

No he's one of the paedophiles and I did wonder if the girls were chosen because they are dark like his daughter and whether he was the father of her baby that was lost.

That's a good theory.

I am also wondering if, actually, whoever his daughter reminds him of was actually a woman who was about the same age she is now - so not one of the girls, and that there is something else entirely going on.

I still think he is involved, but I am wondering if the connection is a little more complex than just his now grown up daughter reminds him of one of the young girls... although I could be wrong. Unless he meant to say that a girl he once knew reminded him of his daughter when she was younger.

OH said tonight "when's that confusing programme on you like? It's quite good" he came and watched last week's episode and I refused to give him rundown as I might have missed something important. Mind you the way I am at the moment very unlikely. Told him to watch catch up.

:shock::shock::shock:

Well I am glad the baby is safe and sound, but what will become of that poor little girl?

I think the 9 year old Iraq girl is dead and therefor not the 3rd girl in the picture.

Didn't hear anything of the butcher (innocent I think) this week. Or his wife. Maybe they are red herrings.

3 more episodes to go.

The child at the end could be the one Alice said she had. But the medics said she had never given birth so could be Sophie's child? Out of the mouth of babes eh? I assume it's being shown in other countries as well eventually especially as cast seems to be from all over Europe and beyond.

So the girl that came back was Sophie, taking Alice's life i.e. memories, baby etc but she hadn't given birth. Sophie died in shed. Three men were part of a paedophile ring. Last nights chap kept girl presumably Alice and her baby in basement. Could Reed who seems to be older keep the two girls who are supposed to be his daughters, They look nothing like each other. I thought second daughter looked a bit like third girl in photograph??? Alice is obviously in Switzerland . How did she get there, did the butcher and his wife know what was going on and did they help her escape or is there a fourth person, now dead in campervan. Really enjoying this now.

I thought it was the real Alice in the shed due to the dna test :eh:

If the girl in Switzerland had driven the van there, how come she only just noticed the glasses of Lena, the girl behind her on the rollercoaster?

I was so sad to see the nice policeman die last night :( He was such a good person.

I thought Stones sister and her did look alike, even if it was only having dark hair. Such a wonderful thing for her to do for them, and it was sad to see the start of her dads dementia (as I can't spell the A word, and the dictionary on my ipad isnt helping!)

I am wondering if the man who 'shot himself' wasnt part of the ring, but wanted to speak up about whatever happened over in Iraq? But then how would AliceSophie know him?

Three more episodes, and it will no doubt all fall into place in the last one like it did in series one.

Real Alice is dead in the shed so DNA tells us.

Sophie (pretending to be Alice) is alive and well in Switzerland and the little girl is hers - when she arrived 'home', the doctors who examined her declared that she had given birth at some time, but she denied it. Maybe to protect the child? Maybe because she has no maternal instincts? Maybe because her captors have stolen her child - she was allowed to escape, but had to sacrifice her child to do so?

Poor young policeman. He could have solved it all. Shame he went off on his own. :?:(

Yes, that all makes sense. I think it was survival instinct that kicked in, and she may not have any maternal feelings for her daughter given probably how she came about :(

Why will these people never learn on these programmes. Don't go to a house, alone, at night, with a new clue? Do you think the man who killed him was the one who leaked the info to the journalist? About the shed being locked? He was there for the interview, wasn't he? I do wonder if it was him who put the body of Alice inside, and let Sophie go as long as she left her daughter behind? It wouldn't have been hard for Sophie pretending to be Alice to get a copy of the key for the shed.
