I'm also very rubbish at applying it and would be a really good candidate for one of those reality vs expectation memes. A trick is to get a fine paintbrush and clean round your nails with polish remover. The colour of your nails is for you to judge alone. It's just fun and not permanent so it doesn't matter. I live in Ibiza and mine occupy one of shelves of the fridge door all year round. If it is because they are getting on a bit (and aren't we all?) put a drop of nail varnish remover in them to thin them down. soapdragon Posted June 3, 2017 Share Posted June 3, 2017 I have painted toe nails nearly all summer....love to vary colours although usually go for a dark pink. My favourite is alternate nails darkish purple and a mild lime green...but I am only brave enough to do it very occasionally! People always remark when I go for it though My hands are constantly in and out of water so varnish chips quickly....but I do feel more 'together' if my toes are done.
