mountainboarddude
the girls were in the garden earlier and all of a sudden i heard a squeaking noise . i looked to see what had happened and mabel had something hanging out of her mouth. at first i thought it was a mouse but then i saw it was a frog, dangling from its leg . after much commotion she let it go an it hopped away luckily. Hen Watch
Mine LOVE frogs. Top girl Henny usually gets them and the others chase her round the garden pecking bits off. Frogs in my garden never get away, they are entirely devoured by the girls. My husband is delighted, his pet hate in the whole world is frogs. (Some of my friends were not sure about having free eggs once they knew what the chickens ate.......)

xChicken04x
Gemma had a huge frog yesterday. It was hanging out of her beak (much to big to swallow) whilst she was running round screeching like mad!!! I ran in, eventually grabbed her and prized her beak open and mannaged to save little froggy. He was fine after a little splash in a bucket of water and happily hopped off. xx Edited September 7, 2007 by Guest
CrookhamChooks
Yesterday we rescued a slow worm from the murder squad. It had lost the end of its tail but seemed otherwise ok. I'm amazed they attacked somthing that big - it was nearly a foot long.

Beauty-Box
Luckily we don't have frogs in our garden, but one of my girls loves snails. She bashes them on the ground untill the shell breaks and she can eat them. They both love worms.

Nicola O
Luckily we don't have frogs in our garden, but one of my girls loves snails. She bashes them on the ground untill the shell breaks and she can eat them. They both love worms. Mine love snails, but theycan't work out how to get them out of the shells. The small ones with a softer shell are not a problem, but they dont know what to do with the larger ones. Being a good chicken mummy I squash them slightly with my foot (only enough to crack the shell) and then they tuck in . Nicola.

robskyd
We've just had a mad ten minutes with our 3 girls chasing after each other with kermit sticking out of thier beaks, to be honest it looked horrible, but after seeing them all chase each other I can't get the theme from "The Benny Hill Show" out of my head!!
