Steve Coogan

Recommended Posts

Don't like Steve Coogan myself - i find his 'comedy' makes my toes curl - a bit like watching the office prat make an idiot if himself at the Christmas party, but it's another thumbs up from me for QI and Mock The Week - possibly the only two programmes that both chookiehubbie and I agree on!

I liked Steve before he made it big, saturday night live kinda era when he did stand up.

I don't find him funny anymore.

I think he has suffered the same fate as Mr Bean, very funny at first but..........now awful.

Kev.

Edit- I wasn't referring to Sean Bean by the way Sarah :D

Glad you cleared that up,Kev.

I was just about to send the boys around 8)

Another one I can't abide is Rob Brydon or whatever his name is. Twerp.

I half watched a film that they made together a short while back....A cock and Bull story or somesuch (that will be moderated!) ....they had set themselves the task of demonstrating that the novel Tristram Shandy could be filmed. Apparently it had previously been deemed unfilmable.

I don't know about unfilmable...it was unwatchable. Two talentless egos pretending to be actors.

Horribly fascinating.

I LOVE STEVE COOGAN :) I find him hilarious in an excrutiating kind of way. I prefer him in Alan Partridge but in the second series of Saxondale he is starting to grow on me a bit more. His anger management sessions are just brilliant

Other favourites include:

Peter Kay

Bill Bailey - you must watch Black Books - genius

Russell Brand (but only on Radio 2) - I can't cope with watching and listening to him at the same time

Oooooooooo - I can.

Russel the love muscle we call him in this house :wink:8)

Yeah I think he is flipping gorgeous too but I just can't watch him and listen to him at the same time - I know it sounds mad but I just get too distracted

I know he has suffered from major drug addiction in the past and I really wouldn't like to say if it has affected his mind BUT he is hilarious. Even when he is just laughing I can't help but smile. He's infectious

Steve Coogan, I can watch. Billy Connely, I've heard it all before(and I'm Scottish) but still watchable. Stephen Fry is brilliant, Mock the Week is the best, does anyone else cringe when Frankie Boyle starts "taking it to far"? and as for Russel Brand, I hate him on TV but love him on radio.....as long as it's switched off.

I love 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks'

I used to love 'who's line is it anyway' what ever happened to that?

Chubby Brown - "Ooops, word censored!" (I do know him and he's very quiet and polite in person, I used to knock around with his sons) still think he's "Ooops, word censored!" though and have told him!
