DanTheChickenMan
🎅🎄 I know that what I am asking is probably impossible. I want to get a wireless camera for my chicken house that somehow connects to a network as opposed to wifi as I think the house is too far away from that. Is this possible? P.S Now proper free rangers and one hen is laying every other day 🥚🍳
Luvachicken
Sorry, I have no idea about the camera but just wanted to say what a fantastic view and what very lucky chickens to have so much space 😊
Geoid
If there is no power, it will need to be battery powered (solar panels could charge the battery during the day). But if there is no WiFi the camera would have to use a 4G network (like a mobile phone). Something like this would work. Or you could try using a WiFi range extender to extend the WiFi to the end of the garden.
Patricia W
I’d stand and gaze at that view all day if I lived there.....
The Dogmother
Me three I am about to put up (when I get the time!) some exterior Blink cameras, they work off the wifi
Cat tails
If you have an old iPhone lying around, you can get a free app that will turn it into a security camera. The old iPhone will act as camera, your new(er) phone as viewer. You can get iPhone 5 for a few pounds on the internet and the app Alfred Camera will do the rest! Have my old phone set and ready to spy on my chickens all day tomorrow!

Cat tails
Works perfectly! Would have more options with the paid version of the app, but it’s a nice gadget.
Luvachicken
Do your girls have Christmas decorations on their Omlet netting ? This year mine had snowflakes on and a couple of lanterns.
Cat tails
Hahaha no it does look like it on the photo though! They are just the Ikea solar led lights.
nudenex
These days absolutely everything is possible, including buying a special camera to monitor what is happening in the hen house. There are special cameras designed to watch what your pets are doing, I myself recently bought this camera from a website to keep track of what my dog is doing while I'm not home. The reason I thought about purchasing it is that a month ago when I got home I found my coach totally ripped, and I have two dogs so I couldn't understand who was guilty.) Now if something happens I will know whose fault it is. Edited March 19, 2023 by Cat tails Removed link
Cat tails
What’s the point in knowing who’s fault it is? Are you going to bill them?
