Wow! you still have some grass, been to the builders yard today an ordered some chippings, my once upon a time lawn has all gone and turned into a mudbath in under six weeks ......... suppose routing around in the new chippings will keep them amused though

Same here. Lots of dustbaths. Squashed plants. Nibbled plants. Decimated greenhouse (oops I left the door open and hubby was not happy with me or the hens).....but they had a great time.....

 

Sometimes I look at my half scratched, nibbled plants in the back garden and think "that's not too bad really". Then for a reality check I go to the front garden and see the same plants as they should be. I think I need to equal it out and build a run in the front garden too.......!!!!

I posted a before and after picture once, showing the 2 lawn one with (no grass), one without chickens (grass)

 

I likie the way you have gone for a wood chipping style area around the trees, very rustic
