AMO
Hi, I'm not sure where this originated from but it made me chuckle! According to a news report, a certain private school in Dartford was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night. To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror. There are teachers... and then there are educators.

Cinnamon
That made me laugh out loud - thank you AMO My daughters school has a new Head this year, & she has got very strict with make-up on girls (& presumably boys ) I am delighted. My eldest was into these awful Amy Winehouse flicks, & they have gone now *phew* It took all my resolve not to say 'go & wash your face' but to try the reverse psychology on her by telling her she looked lovley & maybe she could teach me how to do it so I could look like that too

I think it probably originated in the states and Dartford was added when the email made it over the pond - the rest of the text uses some american terms. ubereglu
Ha, ha...That is so funny. However that did you know that water in toilets, (once it has been flushed) is actually normal drinkable tap water.
The Dogmother
That depends Liz, in most houses it will be fed from the cold water tank, so not drinkable. If you have a combi-boiler and therefore no cold water tank, then it will come from the mains like in my house. Having said that, I dread to think where that mop had been
