Janty
Very sad. Didn't win the two run extensions on ebay. I was hoping to turn my cube into a goods train look-a-like.
Martin B
How much did it go for in the end?
little chickadee
£207.36 plus £30 postage. Maybe they didn't see that you could get them new for that much from omlet!!!!
Janty
I know, couldn't believe how much it went for. My Dad is giving my husband and I £100 for christmas to buy an extension. I thought that I would bid on this one as for not a lot more I would get two extensions. How wrong was I?
little chickadee
I had exactly the same thought but didn't even put in a bid because it got silly!
chickenlover
It makes me laugh at how silly people get on ebay, the other day i wanted to but Hocus Pocus for my little girl who is mad about it and making me spend a fortune buying it on the on demand, well there were at least 6 people bidding for the dvd ,it was up to £15 i scrolled down a bit and low and behold it was there buy it now for 6.99 including p&p, exactly the same as what 6 people were bidding £15 for
Janty
I agree...people get silly and don't check the prices elsewhere. I know that this run section had an end piece but who needs two end pieces. It also had a cover but I do think that the price it went for was ridiculously high. Mind you, it is good news for us cube and eglu owners. At least we now know that cubes just like property increase in value with age. Guest
I agree...people get silly and don't check the prices elsewhere.. hiya Janty, I agree with the above... we bought our coop/run off ebay, it was on a 'buy it now' for £119 and the same seller had a few of the same item. I put a proxy bid in (I think that's what they're called) up to £110 I think it was as the start price was very low and you never know your luck, but it ended up going for about £150! If they'd done a bit of research they could have saved themselves £30! Crazy. So, we just bought another one on the 'buy it now' for £119, we didn't have time to try a proxy bid on another one. Janty
There is a cube for sale on ebay at the moment. It will be interesting to see how much that goes for. It looks like it is the same cube that was advertised on the cubes for sale section of the forum.
Guest
Ebay is strange sometimes. I sold all my Wiis and got good feedback including this one "top rate E bayer, excellent communication and bargin!!!" Hmmm that was the most expensive one I sold - it went for £100 over retail price!!!
One Man Banned
Our friend popped by for a cuppa earlier and she remarked that someone has just bid £10.50 plus £5 p&p for one of her old dancemats that she doesn't use. It cost her £8.99 in Argos 3 years ago!! Still, as long as it's not us paying over the odds (as we're all sensible and check things first ) then all the better. Particularly if we're the sellers!! A xx
Guest
I recently sold a leapster game that stupid ex bought James last christmas. I say stupid cos he bought him a leap pad and a leapster game - not compatible. I said this at the time and he said he couldn't be bothered to take it back. Well it had cost about 7 quid in Argos and I couldn't be bothered either. It sold for £13.20 - plus postage!

feemcg
I've been watching a red rablu, Glasgow area, and thought it would be good for the duckies - it's just ended at £205....why would I when I can get a recon from omlet for £220 delivered . Egluntyne
I've been watching a red rablu, Glasgow area, and thought it would be good for the duckies - it's just ended at £205....why would I when I can get a recon from omlet for £220 delivered . I recently paid £245 for a Mark 1 eglu. Well it was yellow!! I like to think that it is an investment and a future collectors item. I know what you mean though Fee..... I am a keen observer of Eglu's on Ebay and am gobsmacked sometimes at the silly prices that they go for. Why not buy new?
Lesley
I always check out prices at the same time as being on Ebay - I open another window and check Lego particularly, as that has a habit of going for silly prices! Sometimes I suppose if things are difficult to get hold of - like a Wii - or if people find it difficult to get to the shops, then Ebay is a godsend, even at higher prices. Guest
As the weight falls off me I'm using Ebay to buy lots of new clothes - some are new with taga and others are worn once etc but it sure is saving me a lot of money! I even bought a pair of boots this weekend, they were a typical buy for someone, wore them once and decided they were not a good fit but had worn them outside so couldn't be returned. Bargain for me - leather boots for 30 quid!
sparkleeeeee
oh i looked at the run for my cube. it would have cost 270+postage of £7 from omlet or £265 + postage for a recon one. but had i bought the section with my cube it would have been £310 extra inc postage (£719-409). i would have paid up to £200 inc postage. i am now making my own smaller run as my big one has to be moved. has anyone noticed they have mk11 recon runs for £50 in the shop, what a bargain!! shame the recon cube ones arent such a bargain.
