craftyhunnypie
You'll just have to make one instead Cookie. Wish I lived in Cambridge area - I've been a bit lost what to do with myself today - so did some potting, made apricot jam, watched chooks whilst drinking Cobra beers, sewed all my knitted projects together & tended to my tomatoes. Wanted to go off out for the day really. Never mind. Going to make a mug cake later! Emma.x
Cooks
yes I could make one myself, but it's much better teasing Emma to make one for me. I made her hobk"Ooops, word censored!"s! well if your ever in the area just hollar!

mostin
You lot are really bad , I've fought the temptation for weeks now but finally given in and made a batch of this. I haven't used raisins, as as far as I'm concerned raisins in chocolate are just a contaminant . I've used mini marshmallows and chopped glace cherries. I haven't sampled any yet. Can't wait until after tea
TheGirlsMum
Which naughty, naughty person put this recipe on here? I have just had to make some and now I can't stop eating it and I'm sure O won't until it has all gone. I did make it with plain chocolate and it is extremely yum

Sunshine
I made some of this yesterday(with malteasers) and did it in 2 tins. One for everyone else and one hidden in the back of the fridge for me!! In a family of 6 things tend to get eaten qucikly so hiding things is definately the way to go.
chickweed
I had loads of sponge fingers from Aldi that I was going to put in a trifle last Christmas, but I didn't get round to it. So I substituted the sponge fingers for the digestive biscuits in this receipe yesterday. The result was pretty good. I compared the calories, saturated fats, salt etc., in the biscits and the sponge fingers, and the sponge fingers contained less of every thing except sugar, so I omitted the added sugar. A lower calorie refridgerator cake
Falkor
handy hint....do not make it with Stork!!! I NEEDED some more of this cake but had no proper butter so threw some stork in. UH UH....NOPE.....DEF NOT!!!! It kind of seperated when it was in the fridge and i ended up with a big greasy, fatty yello band all away around the outside. I am currently eating the middle! poachedegg
I made another batch today, however didn't have quite enough digestives, so used some cornflakes - nice for a bit of extra crunch.

craftyhunnypie
Thanks for this - I can now make my ' tiffin' again! Should be having a few visitors today, so will go down well. Emma.x
craftyhunnypie
Made yesterday - nom nom! Definitely needs more biscuits in, as under side was too gooey. Hubby actually liked this - he normally only likes sponge & not into tray bakes. Not sure I would make it again, as I prefer a more solid base & less gooey.
