  6. How lovely! It's always exciting when they start laying. You'll start off with a few, but if you have hybrids, you'll soon have more than you know what to do with! We 'sell' our excess eggs where my partner works. Sell isn't really the right word. Everyone pays a £1 for a half dozen and all the money gets donated to charity at the end of the year. We managed to raise £300 last year!

  8. My girls have tomatoes occasionally but they don’t like them as much as I thought they would. Cammie the young campine is very much enjoying sharing a plum with me every day when I get home from work at the moment and she also really likes elderberries.

  10. Mine won’t use the swing either... I’ve found rats more a problem than foxes. Omlet runs for the cube and WIR are not rodent proof, by the way, and they can certainly get through chicken wire. I even found one rat in the next box of the cube which had got in during the day so do check before you shut them in at night!
